Im guessing you are meaning what do you do with the bezel that has an arrow to set towards whatever time it is. (the one with 1-60)
Lets say your dive time starts at 6:00 well you set the bezel to 6. Use the minute hand as your gauge from then on. Dive time is about an hour depending on your tank. Basically its there so you can check how many minutes you have left before you have to resurface.
